The infamous music festival Coachella has returned for Spring 2022 after a two year break due to the pandemic. Coachella is a brilliant place for all sorts of music fans, regardless of your choice of genre.
The origins of the festival date back to 1993 when Pearl Jam performed at the Empire Polo Club. By 2001 it had developed into a single day event, but from 2017 onwards it has been a three day festival over two weekends.
So whether you’re looking for a 2021 success, a 2022 newcomer or an old time favourite, you are bound to find one in this year’s line up.

It looks as if the 10th and 17th of April will be extremely busy days at Coachella, what with pop megastar Harry Styles stepping up to the stage to perform the likes of summer sensation Watermelon Sugar or 80s synth track Adore You. On exactly the same days, keyboard heavy quintet Hop Chip are also performing. It’s highly likely that they will present their never-heard-before track entitled Losing My Head, from their A Bath Full Of Ecstasy Album Sessions.
If Pop hits or Electronica isn’t really your thing, you’ll be glad to know that Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, will be headlining the concert alongside Harry Styles and Billie Eilish. Perhaps he won’t perform his entire 1 hour 48 minute album Donda, but it is guaranteed he will play singles Hurricane, Life Of The Party, Believe What I Say and Off The Grid possibly accompanied by other singles from his lengthy discography.

Maybe Alternative/Indie bands are more so your cup of tea. If that’s the case, you’ll be delighted to know that acts including The Chats, Beach Bunny, Japanese Breakfast, Girl In Red and Idles will be playing. Some are making their debut at the concert, whilst others are returning to the music festival.
Here is the full line up for Coachella; who are you excited to see?
